It's not the fun part, but it matters, so we've kept it as clear and human as we can.By using jesusisforkids.com, signing up for our emails or texts, downloading our resources, or buying our books, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.1. Who can use this siteYou need to be 18 or older to sign up for our emails or texts, download our resources, or place an order. Our resources are made for the grown-ups sharing Jesus with kids — parents, grandparents, teachers, and ministry leaders. If you're helping a child use anything from us, that's wonderful, and we're trusting you to be the adult in the room.2. Our free resourcesWe give a lot away for free — the peacemaking PDF, coloring pages, conversation guides, and more. Here's the deal:You're welcome to use them at home, in your classroom, in your co-op, or in your church, for personal and non-commercial use.
Please don't sell them, repackage them, or claim them as your own.
Feel free to print copies for the families or kids you're serving. That's exactly what they're for.If you'd like to use something on a bigger scale, just ask — we're friendly.3. What we ownThe stories, books, illustrations, characters, writing, and everything else we've made are ours (or our publisher's) and are protected by copyright and other laws. Using the site doesn't give you ownership of any of it. You can share links to our content and quote us kindly with credit, but please don't copy, reproduce, or distribute our work beyond what Section 2 allows without our permission.4. Buying our booksIf we offer books for sale directly through the site:Prices, availability, and shipping details are shown at checkout and can change.
Your order is confirmed once payment goes through.
Shipping times are estimates, and things occasionally get delayed once they leave our hands.
Refunds, returns, and exchanges are handled according to the policy shown at checkout or in your order confirmation. If something arrives damaged or wrong, tell us and we'll make it right.You can also buy our books through Amazon and other retailers, and those purchases are governed by their terms, not ours.5. Our emailsWhen you join the Peaceful Parents Club, you'll get a quick weekly guide on peacemaking and parenting, plus the occasional note about new resources, books, or ways to get involved. You can unsubscribe anytime with the link in any email, no hard feelings.6. Text messages (SMS/MMS)If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages too. Here are the details you should know before you say yes:Consent to messages. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages (SMS/MMS) from Jesus is for Kids at the number you provided, which may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your mobile carrier.
How to opt out. You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we'll send one confirmation text and then stop sending marketing texts to that number. You can rejoin anytime by opting in again.
How to get help. Reply HELP to any message for help, or email us at [email protected].
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your privacy. How we handle the information tied to your text messages is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. The chatbot and our contentOur website chatbot is there to answer questions and point you to helpful resources. It's a friendly helper, not a professional. Nothing on our site or in our emails or texts — including anything the chatbot says — is professional, legal, medical, psychological, or theological advice for your specific situation. Use your own good judgment, and reach out to the right professional when you need one.8. Being a good neighborWe're building a peacemaking community, so we ask you to use the site in that spirit. Please don't:Use it for anything unlawful or harmful.
Try to break, hack, overload, or interfere with the site.
Copy or scrape our content without permission.
Upload anything abusive, misleading, or that isn't yours to share.
9. Sharing your story with usSometimes families send us a photo, a review, or a short video of reading the books together — and we love it. If you choose to share something like that with us, you're giving us permission to use it to encourage other families (on our site, emails, texts, and social media), and you're confirming it's yours to share and that everyone in it is okay with that. If a child appears, you're confirming you're their parent or guardian and you consent on their behalf. You can ask us to stop using it anytime by emailing us.10. Links to other placesWe link out to other sites — Amazon, partners, and friends doing good work. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or practices. Visit them at your own discretion.11. No promises we can't keepWe put real care into everything here, but we provide the site and resources "as is." We can't promise the site will always be perfect, uninterrupted, or error-free, and we can't guarantee any particular outcome from using our resources with your kids (though we're rooting for you).12. Limiting liabilityTo the fullest extent the law allows, Jesus is for Kids and its creators won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our resources. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us, if any.13. You've got our backYou agree to cover us for any claims or costs that come from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or content you share with us that you didn't have the right to share.14. Which laws applyThese terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you agree that disputes will be handled there — unless a mandatory consumer-protection law where you live gives you other rights, in which case those still apply to you. (Update this to your actual home base and preferred jurisdiction before publishing.)15. Changes to these termsWe'll update these terms from time to time as things grow. We want the same honesty in how we handle your information as we do in everything else we make. Our legal basis and your consentFor our friends in Canada, we rely on your consent under PIPEDA and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). When you sign up, you're giving us express consent to email you. You can withdraw that consent anytime.For everyone, we process your information because you've asked us to send you something, because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving Jesus is for Kids, or because the law requires it.5. When we share informationWe are not in the business of selling your personal information, and we don't. We do share it with trusted service providers who help us run things, including:Email and CRM platforms (such as HubSpot and Mailchimp) that store your details and send our emails.
Payment processors that handle book purchases securely.
Analytics and advertising providers (such as Google, Meta, and similar platforms) that help us measure and improve our reach.
Our publisher (Tyndale) and fulfillment partners when it's needed to send a book or a complimentary hardcopy you've requested.We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or if Jesus is for Kids is ever involved in a business transfer.Some of these providers may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" of information under certain US state laws simply because of how advertising cookies work. You can opt out — see Section 9.6. Where your information goesWe're a small team spread across Canada, the United Kingdom, and working with partners in the United States. Your information may be stored or processed in any of these countries, and the providers we use may store data elsewhere too. Wherever it travels, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected under this policy.7. Cookies and trackingWe use cookies and similar tools to remember your preferences, keep the site working, understand traffic, and measure our advertising. You can control or turn off cookies in your browser settings, and where required we'll show you a cookie banner so you can choose. Turning some cookies off may affect how parts of the site work.8. Children's privacyBecause our name is Jesus is for Kids, we want to be extra clear: our books are for children, but our website, chatbot, and email list are for the adults in their lives. Your rights and choicesDepending on where you live, you may have the right to:Ask what personal information we hold about you.

We may need to confirm your identity first, and we'll respond within the timeframe the law requires.Californians have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and Canadians have rights under PIPEDA. How long we keep your informationWe keep your information for as long as you're subscribed or as long as we need it for the purposes described here, and then a reasonable period after for legal, tax, and record-keeping reasons. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it.11. How we protect itWe use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is ever completely secure, though, so we can't promise perfect protection — and we ask you to keep your own account details safe on your end.12. Links to other sitesOur site and emails sometimes link to other places — our books on Amazon, partner newsletters, and so on. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them. Have a quick read of theirs when you visit.13. Changes to this policyWe'll update this policy as things grow and change. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a fresh "last updated" date.
